Nationale Maritime Konferenz
Thu 14.09.2023 8:30 – Fri 15.09.2023 16:15
The Nationale Maritime Konferenz (NMK) is the German government’s central event to support the maritime industry. It is also the largest meeting of the maritime industry with around 800 participants. The conference is held under the patronage of the German Chancellor and has been held every two years since 2000. During this time, the series of events has established itself as an important source of impetus for Germany as a business location and as a platform for constructive dialog between industry, science, associations, trade unions and politics on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
The two-day conference is held in cooperation with a German state at alternating locations.
On September 14 and 15, 2023, the 13th National Maritime Conference will take place under the motto “Strengthen Location. Protect climate. Shaping the Future.” will be held at the Congress Centrum Bremen. The Chancellor, together with the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Dr. Robert Habeck, the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Daniela Kluckert, and the Federal Government’s Coordinator for the Maritime Economy and Tourism, Dieter Janecek, will address and discuss the key global, European and national challenges for shipping, shipbuilding, ports, marine technology and offshore wind with the entire industry. Together with the host state of Bremen, the German government is pleased to welcome the maritime industry to the Hanseatic city.
Mayor Andreas Bovenschulte and Kristina Vogt, Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation, will be in attendance from Bremen.
Together with the entire industry, they want to address and discuss the key global, European and national challenges for shipping, shipbuilding, ports, marine technology and offshore wind.
